Teen new Veggie = Stress for mum...

I was 16 when I moved out of home, so no Mum helping me out there! Also clearly on a shoestring (and vegan), I had three basic meals:
- boiled potatoes with mushroom & brocolli white sauce
- Pasta with tomato, courgette, pepper and basil sauce
- rice with homemade curry and roasted curried potatoes
Now, I'm the first to admit that the above are high in carbs and low in protein, so not ideal at all - I eventually learned to add dried soya mince / soya chunks which you can get very cheaply in health food shops or in the Free From section at Tesco (a 99p bag will last for weeks). I now keep my own chickens, which give me a cheap and ethical supply of eggs.
Upshot is: this is his choice and he's grown up enough to see it through. It's not right for him to say "I'm gonna be veggie now, deal with it biatch!" - you carry on cooking the family meals, and let him sort out what he wants to eat, working together if there's something that can be shared across both.Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0
