Paypals Wealth Warning

On the 8th Feb I transferred under £200.00 to my usual bank via Paypal and on the 15th Feb I transferred £50.00 to the same bank neither of which have been received by EGG PAY dispite having the proof that the transaction took place. Paypal now require that I send them a hard copy of bank statements of which I have had to request from Egg as a computer print out is not acceptable to prove I have not received the money.
Egg have asked me to provide Palpals orginator sort code and account details , this Paypal advise they can not do this as there system don't work like a bank and that they don't have a sort code etc....
Further to my point. Paypal have mislaid two payments in 3 weeks and which is inexcusable.I will be writing to the FSA however because Paypal seems to be a law onto themselves have the FSA got teeth also has any one setup an action group to high light the shabby way this company is being run.

The FSA certainly do have teeth. I work for an insurance company and we have to be licenced by the FSA to order to operate. I believe the same is true for banks.
They also chase up complaints very throughly and they can impose their own fines. It's certainly worth giving them a go. Their website is quite good www.fsa.gov.uk and has some good info on how to complain.

Don't mean to contradict you but I read the article Twink mentioned, and it said that PayPal works different from real and online banks (don't know why). Which is wrong as the amount of money they deal with they should be regulated !!

I thought egg was a credit card company and not a bank as such so you transferred cash to a credit card?
if it was a bank was the account verified?
was your paypal account verified?0
