Hello everybody
Vista on my laptop is failing to update, giving an error code of 8000FFFF. It happened when windows was trying to install this update:
Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 and .NET Framework 3.5 Family Update (KB951847) x86
Any idea or advice will be gratefully received.

Hi
No, it is not, it is Toshiba T5800, 4G RAM, 250G HD.
I am trying this link http://support.microsoft.com/kb/946414 and I will reboot now to see what happens.Be nice, life is too short to be anything else.0 -
Hi
Thank you for your responses and those who read and wished me a good luck.
After trying the link in the previous post, it seems to be ok and the problem is gone. Appearently, it was a generic or non-specific error code that used to happen with vista, especially if you have got 4G RAM, according to one of the links on google.
Anyway, the computer is sorted now.
Many thanksBe nice, life is too short to be anything else.0
