    2 things bother me

    1. there are no actualy photos of the ring just a stock photo that could be from anywhere.
    2. what happens if she only sells say 300 tickets? She has £300 AND the ring. Her website says the draw will happen when she sells 1000 or by the april date.

I can't beleive people fall for things like this. No wonder there are so many fraudsters out there.

Hang on....I will raffle my car. Send me £1 and I'll hold the raffle when I sell 5000 tickets. Or maybe I will just spend all the money and !!!!!! off!

    it actually says this

I am selling a maxium of 2000 £1.00 tickets, and closing the auction on the 28/04/2009. Whichever happens first, for instance if the 2000 tickets sell in the next few days then the auction will close then and a ticket will be drawn, or if I only sell 1000 tickets by the 28/04/2009 then the auction will still close and a name will be drawn from the 1000 tickets sold.

Its also through paypal so your details aren't exposed.

So she will hold the auction on 28/4/09 regardless of how many tickets she's sold?

If it is 'legitimate' then she is mad. What if she only sells say 400 tickets? She will seriously lose out....then again how do you girls know who has 'won' the auction?? Or even if anyone actually wins?

It all works out good in the end.

I guess thats the risk she's willing to take. If she pawned her ring or sold it privately, she wouldn't get much for it at all - so she thought maybe this way she'll get what she can.

Good luck to all that entered :)

I entered too! The ring is lush - exactly what i would have if we could afford it! :)

thought a pound isnt much to lose if it is a scam!

although i think she seems a genuine person from the YAYW forum!

    Good Luck girls!!

Looks like she runs some kind of flower company? I guess she just used that software for the raffle site too.
