depends if that figure includes his expenses for living away from home .... or is just pay after tax, NIC's and other deductionsRich people save then spend.
Poor people spend then save what's left.0 -
He should have had a payslip showing all the gross amounts and all the deductions.
Has he not had this?Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0 -

As the previous posters have said, it all depends on a number of assumptions (a big one being is the £2900 net salary for one month or could it be for 1.5 months, as its his first payment etc)
But to give you a rough estimate, it looks like your hubby could be earning in the £50,000 pa range.
Go to this site:
http://www.tfpl.com/permanent_recruitment/candidates/pcalculator.cfm
put £50,000 in the gross annual salary box and make sure Under 60 / Male / Married / 2005/06 boxes are selected (assuming that is correct). Hit the calculate button and you'll see that it shows a monthly net figure of £2,900.21.0 -

Ah, I see.
Well, he'll still have to declare his income (his REAL income) on the Form E and a copy gets sent to you/your solicitor. So eventually .... you'll get to know.
Do you need to know now for a specific reason or can you wait for the Form E?Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0 -
i can wait,i am only trying to find out as he is not paying his share towards child care..0

Good for you... can I be nosey and ask how did you find out he got £2,900 this month?Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.0
