My Tesco Club Card Voucher Points - what to do with them?

Options
I've collected around £80 and would assume the next batch will bring me another £10-20. So soon I will have close to £100 tesco club card vouchers.

they do good deals, where they are worth 4 times the amount on certain things, places. One example is Goldsmiths. So intheory if looking at a watch for £400, can get this free with the use of the vouchers.

Not really needing any jewlery, or days out etc. I'm not sure what to do with them. Can these be sold on or transferred? This could be a bargin for someone looking for say a £400 watch and could get it half the price, as I would be happy selling it on for say £200.

just not sure and a shame they don't have more offer retails places which are able to worth 4 times the amount

I know you'd only get the face value but you could set them against house, car insurance etc. Got £50 cash back and set aside £46 towards my car insurance making it only £106 for the year.Very pleased with myself and felt a real MSEr.

    Flights? ferry crossings? Holidays?

I assume you have the latest Deals brochure that came with your latest lot of vouchers?

It seems a bit mad to use them as face value when yu can get 4 times as much. Are there really no Days Out that you fancy? We did Longleat for 4 of us a couple of years back and it was an absolute bargain and a great couple of days out as you could go back in and see the bits you hadnt seen the first time you went.

There is a good market for these on eBay. £10 of vouchers gets you £40 of Days Out vouchers. On eBay £40 of Days Out vouchers sell for about £22-£27 so you can reckon on around £20 after fees etc.

So quadruple your money by using the Days Out vouchers or at least double it by selling them on eBay.

What about meals out, there are still plenty of Restaurants in the Deals scheme.

And I think I read Cineworld are joining too, soon.

I would keep them until you see a Deal you really want, as the first reply said. I don't understand why some people are so keen to spend them when they are valid for 2 years. Put them away safely and keep adding to them each quarter until you want to use them for something useful to you.

I usually save enough for a holiday - and every year we also get 6 Merlin Annual Passes for our family to get unlimited free entry into all the main UK theme parks for a year, Sea Life, Tussauds, London Eye, Dungeons, you name it.

And because of coupon-use I 'spend' less in Tesco than someone who only goes there once in a blue moon...;)

I used £12 of ours to get 12 blockbuster vouchers.

Now when a new 360 or PS3 game comes out, my son can rent it for a week for just 1 voucher (£1), and see if he likes it (and that he still likes it 7 days later).

Cineworld are on now Coupon' ... I got some ready for the Easter holidays ... I think they are £2 in 'deal pounds' for childrens and £3 for adults

Magazine subs are good ... you can use these as presents for friends and family

Theme Parks and Legoland etc are great holiday cost cutters

or ... you could better yourself at the Open University ... :^)

i'm one who prefers to see a material item

i suppose there might be some days out etc. but prefer something tangible.
ideally would spend it at goldsmiths say.

definately wouldn't sell them at face value. that's interesting that they can be sold via ebay etc.

could possibly be interested if say had £100 vouchers and got £200 cash for them to buy something me and the wife would use and keep.

Some people sell the raw Tesco vouchers on eBay and they then ask the buyer what vouchers (Days Out, Meals, etc) the buyer would like. The seller then uses their raw Tesco vouchers to get the Days Out vouchers and then sends the Days Out vouchers to the buyer.

The other way is to change the raw Tesco vouchers for, say, S3010 Days Out vouchers and sell the S3010 Days Out vouchers on eBay. I prefer this way as it's less fuss.
