Hello :-)
I have a question re child maintenance/CSA. The story in brief:
I have a 12 yr old child, who I contacted the CSA about maintenance when she was 1 yr old. The father denied paternity so we did a dna test to confirm that he was actually the father, then nothing happened.
Fast forward 11 years, still nothing had happened despite phoning/writing regularly, and trying (unsuccessfully) to get my MP involved.
Finally last year, an assessment was done by the clerical dept, he appealed, it was overturned, and by some miracle I'm now getting regular payments from the CSA.
What is bugging me though is the fact that maintenance has been assessed as £110 a week, backdated to the date they did the assessment, so from last year. But what about the other 11 years? Is there any point trying to chase the CSA for any compensation, due to them doing absolutely nothing for so long?
Thank you x

If they have your original application back to when you say you first applied and the delay was because of them they should make the payment for the delay....the amount of assesment taken all the way back plus interest....nice one!0
