(or ref bwh/22285 from main page).
I take it there's no unsocial hours increment, or would someone doing same job on the day shift get less than this?
guessing a 20% difference in rates, thats just over the minimum wage for a very busy shop at the main rail station..
not to mention lack of any social life, and body clock screwed to hell.

My premium rate pay is £5.27 (I'm 19). Seven quid an hour sounds good to me!0
-
Thats pretty good, dont you also get a discount card after being there for so long,0

My friends lad works there daytime think the starting rate is about £6hr then goes up to £6.40.so that rate is probably right.0

There's a new M&S opening near me and I noticed that the pay rate for shop assistants was something like £6.50ish an hour. £7-odd sounds about right for night work.0

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -
I worked at M&S over xmas and got £7 per hour, but this was in central London. They are not a bad employer, really, and you get your discount card pretty much straight away. Plus don't forget 'staff waste' every Saturday, where you get to buy just going out of date food at ridiculously low prices. Eg, 5 cakes for about 50p.:idea:0

Sounds like a good rate to me too for a non skilled job. Lots of people like nightwork and it can also be a bonus if it fits round a partners hours as can save a fortune in childcare.0
