Tax changes 2009/2010

I earn 17,290 - anyone any idea how much my take home pay may change next month due to the new tax rates and allowances coming in at the start of the new tax year

Thanks

No new tax rates ... just the increase in personal allowances. If you're on the basic (currently Code 603L) .... an increase of £440pa.

Which - at 20% translates to £88 less tax over the year. But NI will inevitably go up ..... so don't spend it all at once!
If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !
