    Hi
Is it possible to put up the interest rates on your loans and credit cards? That will then help the good peeps on here sort out what needs paying first.

Your groceries are high - you can reduce that to at the most half. Batch cook and freeze, go down a brand, etc

Are you going bankrupt now or trying to avoid it? If you contact the CCCS they may be able to get you set up on a DMP with reduced payments.

If you are looking to make cutbacks, do you need the car? It costs you a big wedge in running costs every month, and you may be able to claim mobility benefits instead.
Check https://www.entitledto.com to make sure you are getting everything.

Check out the Old Style board for ways to cut back on your grocery bills - two of us manage on £200 per month quite nicely, we just cook a lot!

Other thoughts are about holidays and the emergency fund - can you afford either right now? Also check out reduced costs for TV/phone/internet - you could look at freeview, and cut back that way.

Good luck whatever you do x

I think you've put three lots!

You can go back to post#1 and edit it (we can't).

If you have aleady taken advice and are definitely going bankrupt (is that two of you?) and just need advice on how to present your petition then you need to post on the bankruptcy board.

The SoA that you put together for the Official Receiver is tailored so you don't get an Income Payments Order. The ones posted on this board tend to get pulled apart on the lines of 'you could spend less on x, y and z'.

Does your DLA have mobility component? (I'm just thinking about the car)

How do the debts split between the two of you? Either less than £15,000?

You do know about the new Debt Relief Orders for no asset, low surplus income people with debts under £15k and in rented accommodation? You can keep one car worth less than £1000 in a DRO.

Anyway, give us some more info to chew on and we'll do what we can....

    Thanks!

Lovely people here and on the BR board who just want to help. Don't go away; please keep posting either here or on BR and everyone will be more than happy to help and share experiences.

Good luck in whatever you decide to do.

No worries Glam Jan. You got more replies on here than you did on the b.r. board too. LOL.

It is a nice thing to see the friendliness of the people here on DFW and those on BR too. We can probably agree that it has made a lot of difference to our meagre lot.
