I have just checked my bank statement as usual and seen a payment taken out by Highstreetmax.com for £14.95.
I immediately rang the bank as I have never heard of them and didn't authorise the payment.
I'm worried it's a scam of some sort or someone has my card details!! Any help greatly greatly appreciated. I'm scared now

if you rang the bank....what did they say?
if you google it, it looks like a small print scam for a voucher you might have requested through holidays or something. Cancel the SO in your bank ASAPDFW 228 LONG H 68

Have a read of the article in the link -

Don't know whether your charge is something similar.
Good luck0 -
that's exactly what must have happenned. wish i could swear on here dammit heh.
right well the bank have put the payment into dispute and are sending me a replacement visa card as it was a visa payment that went out. So hopefully that will be the end of it.
I just feel sick that i fell for something like that. Similarly to the woman in that article i was booking a holiay on last minute dot com and had a free voucher offer come up. I must have clicked on it. What a stupid thing to do.
God i am so annoyed right now :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:End of 2010 I was £8,007.66 in debt

You are not the first and yoiu won't be the last. Chalk it up to experience. Someone did a fraudulent transaction on my account a couple of weeks ago, and I have no idea how this piece of pondlife got my card details as I am very careful. The bloke at the bank said someone managed to clone his card recently as well, so there is a lot of it about. Just be careful when you are doing things over the phone or on the net.One life - your life - live it!0

Well luckily (in a way) they used my card not my bank details so hopefully that should be the end of it.
Sorry for the panic!!
