What loan company uses "Credit Expert" to check your credit score?

Hi

I've just checked my score on Credit Expert and I have a score of 999 (excellent). I would like to know which companies use Credit Expert to check clients scores and history.

I am considering getting a loan (£15,000) from The Alliance & Leicester but want 100% confirmation that they will check Credit Expert.

Cheers in advance.

Chris

    Chris,

Nobody 'uses' credit expert or the score generated by experian as such.

Each lender will have their own scorecard and lend based on that relying on information about your current credit history from Experian or Equifax or both.

Whether you will get the loan will depend on your income, outgoings, length in job, time with current bank, potentially postcode and whether your neighbours pay their bills on time, how many dependents you have etc.

Most mainstream lenders use experian (who produce credit expert) so that is a good start - not sure about Alliance & Leicester specifically though.

I'd say if you have been in your current job for >1 year, earn more than £35000, have little current dept and want the loan for a car purchase or home improvement rather than debt consolidation or business purposes then you should be in with a good chance.

Smile :), it makes people wonder what you have been up to.
