Sorry if this is the wrong message board:
Usually my wages each month before tax is £1450 then I get taxed about £203 each month. Today I have recieved my payslip and i've been taxed £290!
Has anyone else experienced this? Someone said it was was maybe to do with the end of the financial year?

What is your tax code.. has it changed since last month0

It's the same tax code as my other pay slips 603L.0

Thats most strange... 290 is exactly 20% of 1450 which makes it look as if your tax code is BR (base rate) rather than 603L... that should give about 190 tax
Can you post up the totals to date (and check that tax code again).0 -
Was your gross pay the same as usual and has this been your only job/income since 6 April 2008?0
