Hello,
I hope i am on the right board, please feel free to move if not!
I got a call saying i had won a holiday for 4 due to a survey that i completed on pigsback. All i had to do was call frephone and quote a reference number.
I did this and to claim my holiday, all i have to do is attend an exhibition in Birmingham. (not too far for me)
Has any one come accross this before, do you think it is a genuine win?

Hmm, not too sure on this one, sounds like it could be some dodgey time share type thing - but I reckon it might also be genuine - do you remember filling in a survey on pigs back?
Also od you know the name of the company running the comp? if so try googling them and see what you can find - if not google the phone number you might be able to get some info that way.[FONT="]

Thank you Tom, I do, do surveys through pigsback so it is possible. I just checked out the scams thread on here and although they haven't asked for immediate payment, (they did mention a 'booking fee') i think it is along the lines of the ones on there. Too good to be true!!0

Did you have to answer questions like 'do you earn over £25,000' blah blah blah? Sounds like CLC (or Club La Costa to me). There are lots of threads on here about how they pretend you've won a holiday, ask for a fee per person and then pile on the hard sell at these 'exhibitions'. I have had at least 3 calls from them recently (one caller said it was from me entering a competition a few years ago:rolleyes::eek:). Personally I would avoid but have a read of these and make up your own mind.

HTH and hope you get a proper win soon:D0 -
Yes it's a Timeshare scam.
If you go to the 'exhibition' you will be given the hard sell !.....0 -
I have come across a similar thing before where you have to attend an exhibition. It is generally a time share thing, especially if they asked you questions about how much you earn and if your married etc as they do have certain requirements. Hope this helps.BEST WIN LAST YEAR - MULBERRY HANDBAGSENDING STICKY VIBES TO THOSE WHO NEED THEM0
