Best tweezers to use??

Hi
Im looking for a bit of advice re tweezers. I have used in the past Tweezerman ones which are very expensive and to be honest i didnt think they were that great for the price (£15) and ive recently bought ones for around £4 which are pretty rubbush too. I was just wondering if you could recommend me a good pair of tweezers. I would be willing to pay around £10 for them
Thanks

Hmmmm, difficult. I have about 12 pair, most are tweezermans.

One of the best pair I have are pair bought from an independent chemist. Ones bought packed on a card hanging with all other bits and bobs like that. Paid about two pound and are as good as tweezerman. Ive bought others and they have been rubbish.

I find I have to really look at a pair before buying. I look as closely as I can to the tips. They have to be fine and aligned. Many many of the cheeper ones are so thick theres no chance of doing eyebrows and some are so askew before getting them home theres no chance of them gripping anything

Someone recoomended ELF on this board a while back as being as good as tweezerman. For me the resemblence stopped with the looks, as they havent been able to grip anything. I think its just trial and error with tweezers and when you do find a good pair you look after them and dont let any of the family pinch them
  • Having been blessed with Dennis Healey lookalike eyebrows  , I need the best help out there. I have used Tweezerman, but after a while, they do not do what it says on the tin. I have used Mr Mascara (don't waste your money), and am now using a pair I bought in Boots. Having discarded the packaging ages ago, all I can tell you is that they are pink have the word "RED" on them, and cost approx. £8. They are the best pair I have tried. :D

The best pair I've had recently came from Superdrug.
They are black and were not expensive.
The make is QVS (I think) the arm have got little holes punched in them.

The best ones I've ever had is a pair of pointed tweezers from Lloyds Chemists for £2. I also have all of the £10 slanted etc. etc. and I just don't use them.

It's the same with eye lash curlers. The cheap ones (NOT all cheap ones mind) I find to be better. It's the angle that they force you to hold them at which is important. Again, Lloyds. Tesco's £2 ones are okkk, but they don't grip very well. I once bought a pair of £10 ones from Boots when I was going through my silly stage, and they're useless. You just don't know until you use them.

I had some that were given to me in a set when I was an Avon rep. Hubby decided to use them for something which they weren't supposed to be used for and they didn't work properly after that. I was gutted and planned on getting some more but when I saw they were £5.00 I thought it was too much money to spend on tweezers. I got some from Boots which I think cost less that £2.00 and I didn't like them at all. I ended up buying the £5.00 ones from Avon and it was £5.00 well spent.
    Did owe £9,951.96
