Title deeds

Sorry if this isn't the right place to ask this, but it does concern a remortgage. I've been sent a remortgage pack to fill in and one of the questions asks where the house's title deeds are located. My current lender, the Halifax, say they don't have them and they were probably sent to me when we originally bought the house.
The only document I can find that looks vaguely like this is an 8 page one marked 'H M Land Registry TP1' with the heading 'Transfer of part of registered title(s)'. It also contains a map outlining the boundaries of my property. Is this the title deed, or do I need to keep on digging through my drawers?

You should have a copy of the Title Information Document and other old deeds. Perhaps your conveyancer kept hold of it?0

When did you buy the house? I bought mine 5 years ago and the Halifax sent a big bundle of papers tied up with pink ribbon which I assume are the deeds. I thought they were mostly irrelevant now anyway if your house is registered with the Land Registry, I think that is why the lenders are sending them out to the owners rather than keeping them in safe storage.

Do you mean the pre-registration documents, such as old Conveyances, Deeds, Legal Charges(for example), or the actual Charge Certificate? If you still have a Mortgage, then the property will be registered with the Land Registry and your Mortgage company will have all the relevant other deeds and documents relating to your property. When you purchased the property, your solicitor would have either given to you all the deeds that were now obsolete, or kept in them on your file which is kept I think for at least seven years. Hope this helps.0

I've replied 'we do', if there's a query, I guess I could just get a copy from the Land Registry anyway?0
