Not a TV but I have a flat screen monitor and they are really well known for making great LCD models. I mean just look at the great feedback it recieved on Ebuyer something I would always read before buying.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 0650

I've got this Acer AL2671W sat in front of me connected to my PC through the DVI connector and the image is simply incredible. The clearest PC image I've ever seen. It's perfect for watching PC based HDTV content and the RGB and Component connections for DVD/games consoles are very good quality too.
The only downside to this TV/Monitor is the quality of picture obtainable from the built in analogue tuner.. it's not very good at all. The composite input quality is also rather low. If you're planning to connect a Freeview box or Sky/NTL though, it's very good so long as you connect using RGB.
There are a lot of good reviews floating around, this is the one that tempted me to buy: http://www.trustedreviews.com/article.aspx?art=10130 -
That review does seem to say the TV is potentially NOT "HD Ready", so I'd be very unhappy about paying that much money for something that might not be SkyHD compatible, and that's probably going to be most people's main source of HD for a while!0

On page 3 of the review there's an update:
"Update
It's taken a while but Acer has contacted us to confirm that the AL2671W's DVI port is indeed HDCP compliant, which is good news for anyone in the UK wanting to watch HDTV from Sky in 2006. Acer now just needs to get the manual updated to make this clear."0 -
Friend has the 32 inch model and its fab, he connects it to his pc and play hd stuff along with dvds0
