Redundancy Question

Hi there

I was made redundant on the 5th January 09 and given 10 weeks notice (due to me working there for 10 years)
I get paid weekly and this notice pay has just finished. This week I have recieved my redundancy payment which is the stat of £3,300 and my P45.
My question is during this notice period my employer asked me not to come in and work it, so do I still accur holiday pay during this time? As my holiday entitlement starts from the 1st January they could potentially owe me a weeks holiday pay.

    MOVING THREADS FOR BETTER RESPONSES

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to the Employment board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email !!!!!!.

Yes - holiday continues to accrue during notice. However check that they didn't also instruct you to take holiday during that time.

Littlevoice is correct - Holiday pay does still accrue during a notice period. If they had stated you should take your holiday this should have been shown as holiday pay on your payslip as they need to prove that you have taken your holiday entitlement or it would have been shown on your redundancy letter.

Good luck, hope you find or have found new work!
