    Is your home country in the EU because there may be other implications as I read somewhere that debts incurred in EU countries can be included in a UK bankruptcy, so I do not know if there is any form of reciprocity (spelling).

    If you have no ties here and definitely never wish to return then it is your call, and quite frankly I really would not blame you.

    I wouldn't blame him either however he does have ties here - his children will live here with their mum. Makes the decision a bit harder to make.
