Speaking as someone who took up this offer a year ago, and quoting one of their sections, it's £10 you could spend on gin. Best save your pennies and spend elsewhere.

Cheers to the OP for pointing it out though, there's bound to be some people who might save something on this. My snide and unhelpful comments are simply aimed at those who think that it must be a bargain if you save so much money...

I too took out a sub for £9.99 18 months ago. I WON'T be renewing it either. It's a pretty poor excuse for a mag. Nowhere near as good as GQ, FHM etc. IT really depends on your age I suppose as it's aimed towards the 14-25 age range, but for less than a quid a copy you could do as rdwarr said and keep it handy next to the loo if you run out of loo paper ;);)

I used to enjoy Jack magazine but it was canned by Dennis who automatically replaced my subscription with one for Maxim. First thing I stumbled across was the cartoon strip "The Widower". As I used to be one I failed to see the funny side and never really found anybody who did!
    Hence the Charmin comparison;)

Absolute waste of a tenner as far as I'm concerned. Load of rubbish magazine that tries to be funny and fails miserably every time. Took mine out over a year ago and regretted it ever since. It comes each month but I don't even bother opening it. My only consolation is it probably cost them more than £10 to print and post 24 issues to me.

Gotta say in balance i took one of these out for a £5 for 2 years and now it's my favourite mag. For reference i'm 24. It has a very Black sense of humor to it, but i haven't found anything that has offended me yet! Awesome articles and a great read.

Not really sure about the funnyness of the magazines, some jokes on the joke section are funny, but there are definately some good articles on there. To be honest, I used to buy an FHM or similar on train journeys etc. Costs 3.50 for one read. Well this gives me something to read when those kind of occasions crop up. I'm not too bothered if I leave it on the train as it only cost me less than 50p. (I took up this a year ago btw).

I think its definately a bragian and has saved me some considerable money on buying a mag I dont really require but just takes up time.

I was thinking the tissue joke actually was about a particular "personal hobby" joke which some people do on the bog. Obviously I have a strange mind and maybe why Maxim seems better for someone like me. Incidently I am a 20 year old male student. Not sure if that is the demographic requirement, think it is, but my girlfriend also enjoys a read of this aswell although hates the obvious "pornness" of the mag.

On reflection though, in my mind, well worth the money.
