Do you know what dye they are currently using to do this? I'd suggest Renbow's Crazy Colour dye which comes in a variety of bright shades and is a conditioning colourant. I've used several from this range on my own hair and depending on the colour they stay in quite a while before fading, 6 washes sounds quite bad.

For pink streaks if getting crazy colour I'd reccommend cyclamen, it is very bright but stays on your hair for weeks and weeks before fading.

l'oreal make a proffesional colour called majicontrast one of the shades is magenta pink.
    this is a permanent colour.
Do you have a local traing college that uses l'oreal products? You would be able to get you hair pink very cheaply. If not do any local salons have a training night?
  • no not really where, we live, all ahirdressers r so busy even traning you have tio pay like 20 quid my mams mate is an ex hairdresser who would put it on fr free if i got die thanx

i've used Directions hair dye in flamingo pink for years and it lasts really well. £4.99 from Blue Banana but avaliable in lots of hippie/goth shops for around the same price. It comes in a whole range of colours and is cheap enough so you never get bored!

Fudge do bright pink hair dyes too but are more expensive and you can pick these up at various hairdressers. Raspberry beret is the best bright pink of their range i think.

Both are very easy to use at home.

    Hope this helps! :o)

Yes it's easy as pie, we used to use that brand at the hairdressers I worked at and I still do my own at home to this day using the same brand, so long as your mate can see where the streaks were you'll be fine.

I haven't been to a hairdressers in years because of the price :rotfl: well that and my (Now-ex) boss practically scalped me the last time she cut it! :rotfl:
