how long does a remortgage take???

hi how long does it take from first applying for a remortgage to completion?
everything is straight forward no credit problems etc

About 3 weeks or so in my experience between ringing up someone and saying "I'd like that mortgage please" to transferring to the new one.
You get sent forms to sign, might send them proof of ID or need to show it in the branch, they request the redemption statement from the old mortgage lender, the old lender sends them one, then they arrange payment. Lots of little bits that take a couple of days in the post.Mortgage overpayments since November 08: £32,500 - balance is now £81,200
