Floor Cleaning Disaster! Help Appreciated!

I could really do with some help to rectify a bit of a cleaning disaster! I moved into a house with a lovely old quarry tiled floor in the hall. :eek: You should have neutralised the floor before polishing - A bucket of hot water with a couple of caps of white vinegar in it)
The white powder is the polish coming off.
If you know anyone in the cleaning industry ask them if they could let you have some floor stripper with the instructions, you can buy this in a contract cleaning supplies shop but it is expensive. If you had it done professionally it could cost between £50 and £70.
Sorry I can't be of more help (Well OH really he is a flooring specialist and I picked his brain)
