Eversheds - should I contact?

I had a call from an "International" number on my home phone at lunchtime today - picked it up and was a recorded message stating a call for "Mr Kevin" and to press 1 if I was or he was there which I did - message then played saying "Please wait while we transfer you to an Eversheds representative" before the line was disconnected (on their end)
The only section of Eversheds I can imagine it being is the debt-recovery - I had a few debts which have all been paid off over the last few years through CapQuest so am wondering what it could be.
Have checked my credit report, and the only defaulted arrangements are one for Orange and one for O2 - both I've got in touch with in the past giving name, various addresses where I might have been living and they have no record of the debt, and have even spoken to the firm that they pass their debt onto (can't remember the name, was at least a year ago I did this) and they have no record of me either - also my credit report shows that both have been "Satisfied" rather than having an outstanding balance.
Obviously if there is something outstanding I want to get it sorted as quickly as possible, but I know some other people have said that it was a mistake getting in touch with Eversheds
Any thoughts/advice on what to do?

Just had another call from an International number (that's what it shows as on my Caller ID) with no number on 1471 - as soon as I picked it up and said Hello the line went dead, so thinking that it's Eversheds again but their phone system is playing up (but due to no number can't prove/complain it's them)0

Dont EVER phone a DCA/Solisitor at their invitation. Thats when you are most vulnerable.
If its not good enough to put in a letter?...........

And if they are using an automated dialler, that is illegal and should be reported to the OFT.

Hi. I had mail from eversheds before christmas 08 saying I owed money to orange and they had sold my debt and the people orange sold the debt to sold it on to eversheds. I went BR a few years ago and orange was in with that. Eversheds were threatening bailiffs and all sorts, so I just sent them a copy of my BR and I haven't heard from them since.GE 36 *MFD may 2043

I think they are but as I've only had one phonecall that actually said their name, the 2nd call may have been unrelated - and not sure how it could be proven to the OFT/Ofcom if there's no number on Caller ID/1471?0 -

I think it was Eversheds that did something similar with my gf over a catalogue account that was included in her bankruptcy0
