They probably wouldn't - only the vindicitive ones, or maybe ones who plan to go into work so they want to ensure that they can survive once their benefits stop.

yep only the vindictive ones who have no plans to work;)

I guess what i'm trying to say is that if the PWC is on benefits they might only be able to "keep" £20 of any maintenance money but where does the rest of the money come from to pay the PWC's benefits (taxpayer's and NRP'S)

    yes that's correct

So how can a PWC on benefits be vindicative then? They do not get anything more out of it.

Surely you are not implying it only costs £20 a week to support a child? I know it is far more than that as I have done it without a penny from my ex husband for 12 years. His attitude is ' you get child benefit'. This month alone I have had to buy trainers and footie boots for my eldest (compulsory for school) and regulation sweatshirt and shirts for my youngest after a sudden growth spurt. I have also paid for 2 school trips, one for £22 and the other for £12. My oldest goes for football training every saturday-£4.50 each session, thi is without food and all the other stuff they need.

I am not bitter-he gets to see the children whenever he wants,in fact I nag him when he goes awol for months at a time. He has recently strarted to pay towards supporting our daughter at Uni,which is great, but that hardly makes up for the last 12 years (of which I worked full time up until a year ago).
Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!
