Bank charges confusion

I think I might not have a leg to stand on here.
HSBC and I have a very tetchy relationship. I foresaw I was going to go over my overdraft limit last month so I asked them to put it up. They refused.
I went over my limit and then this month got charged £50 "pre-notified charges" for going over my overdraft.
This month I have once again gone over my limit (ironically by £49 so I would have been fine if they hadn't helped themselves to my money) and guess this once again means I will get charged another £50.
Am I able to claim these charges back? I know it's my fault I've gone over the limit. And they have said they are pre-notified but I haven't had a letter or phonecall or anything.
Any advice? Do I have to take losing £100 on the chin?
Thanks

Well it's only these two, unless you count interest. I'm just not sure if I have much of a case?End of 2010 I was £8,007.66 in debt

As good a case as you need.
They lost the court case and the appeal.
They are not allowed to make a profit on tehse charges and unless they can show that it cost this amount to notify you then you should not need to pay it. The FSA have NOT said that these charges are acceptable or legal - not even the £12 charges. They have said they will not get involved in cases where the charges are £12 or less. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91
