Hi all
I'm looking to buy a photo scanner to get some old pics onto my computer. I'm looking to spend around £100 on it & would also like to scan negatives aswell
Does any one use one or recommend anything?
Regards
Ian

At work I have a CanonScan 8800F and it's excellent. Scans negatives, auto detects multi pictures. Can highly recommend it. Took me a while (and still working on) to get to grips with all its capabilities.0 -
I have a Canon Canoscan LiDE 600F which I used to scan hundreds of snaps from old albums onto my PC. It is also in regular use for the kids college work and my wife's coursework and has functioned flawlessly (as has the software included).
It comes with a carrier for negatives.
NB: It does not handle mounted 35mm slides. The Canon 8800F does but is more expensive. I used one of these to scan around 500 35mm mounted slides and was very pleased with the results. If you have slides to scan this is a much better route than using a dedicated slide scanner certainly as far as the home user is concerned IMHO.0
