I have a Standard Life Endowment that was taken out from an IFA. I have since found out that he is no longer trading. Basically what I would like to know is can I complain about misselling direct to Standard Life. :beer:

No. Standard Life have no liability for the product recommended. They just got the application in the post.
If the IFA was a network member, you complain to the network. The complaints address details are shown terms of business letter or buyers guide (depending on when you took out the policy). If the IFA was a sole trader or partner, you can still complain to him directly as he does have a lifetime liability on the advice given. If its a limited company and not a network member, you can complain to the Financial Services compensation scheme providing the application was dated after 29th April 1988.
