Cleaning laminate floor and an other thing...

Hi guys.....

I have got 'V' groove laminate flooring (just means that there is a grain in it instead of it being shaney and a slight 'v' shaped groove between the slats)

And I can't get it to look clean for love or money, I have tried microfiber, wet and then dry, I've tried orange oil, not tried vinigar yet - but that is next on my list - any other suggestions?????

The other thing is.....

I have a bean bag (big chair size one) - but it hasn't got any beans or beads in it - where the hell would I get some??? tried hobby craft - but no luck - any suggestions?????

THANKS GUYS!!!

Ask on freecycle for old unused bean bags. The beans are an absolute rip off to buy!

    Ellawood,
I bought a steam cleaner to clean my laminate floors after trying everything on the market, like hotchick. It works fine until the cloth becomes wet and then this just makes the floors wet.
Is this usual? Have to say on the shopping channel they didn't have this problem!

I'm afraid the only thing I found that works with a grain is a scrubbing brush, its very hard work but think of the calories!!!

    Elmer

Ps get a big one, it cover a larger area, dont try it with a nail brush

    Wilko's sell the beans.

I too have "step" laminate. I have a flat mop from morrisons with awashable cloth and every so often I get on my knees an give it a good rub with kitchen spray and a microfibre cloth.

Thanks guys for all of your suggestions!!!

I'm gonna try the vinigar and water solution at the weekend, will let you know how I get on - then if that fails will check out a steam cleaner...

Loved the idea of a freecycle beanbag and swapping the covers! Will try that 1st then off to either dun elm or wilkos - if we have them near here!

    Thanks again

its probably because its all new to you and you just arent used to a laminate floor under your feet, try wearing slippers indoors or get some of those gripper socks or get some rugs dotted around.
