Hi guys.....just wanted some ideas really! I've been in a relationship for just over 2 months. Although I am on top of my debts, ie making payments, all my monthly income is accounted for so I have nothing to spare for socialising. My OH understands that money is tight for me, so I was looking for some ideas for free/ very cheap things we could do? We only really get together on a Friday night, sometimes Saturday daytime, as I have an 11 year old and on a Friday she stays at her Grandma's. All we seem to do at the moment is sit and watch a DVD, which is ok, but any better ideas would be welcomed!!

Picnics are cheap (even if they are in bed
)
You could try cooking dinner together - make something neither of you knows how - follow the recipe and see what happens??
Dusk walks are also great - especially if you live near a river - you can see loads of interesting wildlife.
Or you could choose your favourite book and read it to her

have a games evening - 'traditional' (ie Scrabble) or not traditional (I'll leave choices to your imagination!)

Is there any way you can create more spare cash? Do you do the £10 a day challenge? Do you do free daily scratchcards - I use that sort of money for treats.... and "events"?Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Sign up for Martin's newsletter- there is usually an offer for a restaurant in there that is 2 for 1 or 25% off etc. Buy a cheap carryout for when you get back and don't drink while you are out0
