Hi ttt2009 which part of the forms is it that are worrying you?

It will be fine, don't panic. But if you let us know what parts it is, we can but try to help.

  • If the staff at your court did behave in that manner they would be different to the experiences of everyone else on this site! The likelihood is that you will find the experience much easier than you expect. Personally I sat with the clerk for a good 30 minutes - I remebered a couple of things I needed to add and also spotted things that needed to come off. Nothing was a problem!

When I met with the OR yesterday I had to tell her a couple of other things missing from my form - Again it was not a problem.

It may not be one of the most pleasurable experiences in life, but I've experienced many worse ones.

    thanks people

what time do you think i should get there????????

im really hoping that they will help me out with the forms if need be. ive done the best i can. when i called to ask if they can help at all i was told that if theyre wrong i'll still have to pay and then wait another month for an appointment so obviuosly im worried.

i think ive got all the evidence i need to get my court fee bit waived, again they were very stern with me as to making sure i had it all with me as again they would turn me away.

think i have filled most of it in right, will let you know if im not sure on anything later. im shaking at the thought of it. will be on my own, well i'll have my little boy with me so im hoping i wont have to wait too long. he can kick up a fuss when hes bored!!!!!!!!!

I would plan to arrive at the court at 10am, just to be safe.

If you can take some bribery for your little one - choccie buttons etc! for sitting still and being good and quiet. does he like to draw? take some paper and pencils.

let us know if we can help. and best of luck!

I don't envy you one bit! We had to take our lad (2 months short of 2) to a Council Tax Benefit interview today... He is at the point where he repeats everything I say unless he is busy "exploring" everything he possibly can. He did make the Benefit Assessor laugh quite a bit though.

Hang in there, you'll get through it. I know it's hard but anything they say is not meant personally. If you can, try and look at it as a business transaction. Courts only deal in the facts of the matter which is hard to take sometimes when you're emotionally involved and feel like the roof's about to cave in.

Also please do and try to DIY. That way you remain in control and will know what is happening. If someone else makes you BR, they take control of the situation which can sometimes make you feel worse. And the waiting for them to do it will add to the stress you have already.

And just to cheer you up a little it is 14 years since my BR and there is life afterwards. Mine was in the days of min. 3 years and it was tough, but needed to be done. Not something I would wish for anyone but strange as it may seem it is a bit easier these days because it is a lot more common so there's less of the stigma attached. Some people I met thought I should be doing penance...you know the sackcloth and ashes brigade....little did they know...lol.

Good luck for tomorrow and anyone else there with you. I'll be thinking of you. R

Have a look through these 2 links, they will show you what the forms should look like. Are you writing them or filling them in online?
