Yes, definately a showboating attempt (note sly glances at the camera)'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -
Still, it was the truth that was spoken.
No, he was repeating the same Tory nonsense about Britain having more debt than anyone else and being in a worse position than everyone else.
Considering that the very same EU whose parliament he sits in have published reams of statistics disproving both of these claims, you do have to question the credibility of a man who stands there lying who is looking for plaudits as the man socking the "truth" to the PM.0 -

No, noone knows what the truth is until it is all over and a reflective review can be made. If the policies of the EU were so obviously correct we would be adopting them, it could well end up that the EU end up well behind the curve and will leave countries like Spain and Ireland deep in the mire 'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. On government debt i don't need to defend Brown - the EU does it by stating the facts. Like Brown or hate Brown the facts are clear.0 -
Why is the UK tipped to be the last country to recover then?Happy chappy0

It's not stating facts at all.
It's stating facts from PARTS of the full picture.
These "facts" don't for instance, include the general stabilizers we have in this country. You are simply doing the same, and spinning what was actually stated.0
