Wedding Reception '2010 fixed increse 6%'??

Hi everyone
I'm getting married in June next year. I've found a local, suitable and affordable place to hold my reception.
When they sent me the quote they factored in a '2010 fixed increase' of 6%.
This equates to around £350 extra, I can afford it but just wondered what people's thoughts were on this.
Should venues be charging this when we are on the edge of deflation or is it unrelated?
The 6% is on everything from venue hire, food & drink to linen hire.
Thanks, Jen
