Note to anyone wanting to use the 'check and send' service at the post office for a passport.....make sure they charge you for checking it.....

sounds stupid yeah! Well DD1 took passport in yesterday to do check and send...she came back and said the photo didn't have the declaration on the back....i declare this is a true likeness etc etc....so we wrote it on...and I went back to the post office today to be told but you haven't filled in section 4 (even though it doesn't tell you to fill in section 4) and that DD2's signature looks like a forgery! So I asked her why they didn't tell us this yesterday.....well it was cos we didn't pay for it!!!!! But I brought it in to be checked.....

So I have now paid for it to be checked and its been checked and I have run up and down the high street getting the woman who countersigned the photos to countersign the photos and the form again.......phew...we have 20 days to get this passport - check and send can take 2 weeks but there is a bank holiday.

I did threaten to shoot the woman on the counter....she took it in good humour actually....

I live 2 minute from the passport office - if all else fails you can hop foot it down here and do it in a day :D:D:D

As for a painty picture....We'd be moved into the new house, DD2's school appeal would go through and we'd get the place we want, DD1 would get her choice of options, DH will have passed his final exam and be offered promotion and I'd fall pregnant after 7 years of failure....

Can happen Pooky an ex colleague left last year after getting pregnant following 10 miscarriages.......

Oh and school attendance officer has been on the phone to tell me that DD2 (who lost DD1's passport on drunken night out) isn't in school today......

Well I dropped her outside the door! I have told them to check again!

Oh I was playing a silly DFW-esque game this morning, was flicking through a magazine while I was having my breakfast and they had a bit about designer vs high street versions of the same outfits - designer ones came to a few thousand, high street still added up to a couple of hundred for most of them.. so I added up what I've got on today...

Sisley wool jacket - from charity shop about 5 years ago - £3
    Scarf - charity shop - £1
Florence & Fred top - looks new, from charity shop the other week - £1
Grey suit trousers - Primark - about £10
Ralph Lauren shoes - from TK Maxx a few years ago - £15
Underwear and socks, all Primark, come to £5.50!
    Jewellery - model's own :rotfl:(all presents)

..coming to a grand total of... £35.50 - blimey, I really am a cheapskate! :D
    t shirt - M&S - £ 7
    Bra- bravissimo- £25
    trousers - M&S- £19
    Pants- M&S- 5 for £5
    trainers- JJB- £35
    socks- Primark - 5 for £ 5
    Specs- local optician - £258:eek::eek::eek:

    grand total £346:o

I never really got the DFW ethos can you tell?:rotfl:
