Cerazette and no periods?

I've been on Cerazette for 2 months now. Last month's period was very light. This months is non-existant. I've still got PMT symptoms but no flow.

Is it anything to worry about?

AFAIK you don't bleed while on the mini pill. On both the combined and the mini pill you don't ovulate, but with the combined pill the 7-day break allows breakthrough bleeding. It's not a real period (sorry, you probably already know this). Anyway, with the mini pill, there is no break in the pills and no bleeding. Most women who use it find this very convenient! :D

I've been on Cerazette as well, my last two periods were only 3 weeks apart and light with it. According to that I should have come on on monday but havent as yet. Ahh well, long as I aint pregnant ... lol.

I'm slightly worried that your Dr didn't explain that you won't have periods on Cerazette!

I've just come off it after a year (changed from Marvalon due to weight related risks) and it's weird to have monthlies again!

Skint_Catt - they were prescribed @ a FP clinic so by a nurse rather than a GP, but yes I agree, I should have been told.

Either way, I will stop panicking. And this is an unexpected, happy side-effect. Makes up for the sore, tender, double-sized breasts....

I now have a drawer jammed packed full of tampons and sanitary towels. Not something you can really put on freecycle!! but I am too thrifty to throw them out. Prior to starting Cerazette I was having heavy periods every two weeks so had to keep really stocked up.

Since being on Cerazette I barely need a panty liner for more than a couple of days. Very ad hoc though, could be nothing for months and then a couple of days each week for 3 weeks.

    It's wonderful!!!

I've still got my unopened packs but I wouldn't use them unless i was desperate given they're 2 years old now!!

I've been on cerezette since 2007 and have not had a period since starting them, and i love it!

I think it probably varies according to individual; I have been taking cerazette for 3 years now and my 'periods' have continued during that time, albeit with greatly reduced 'PMS' symptoms.
