In my local Wyevale (nationwide according to website), they have a new free gardening club they are launching. You get 5 points per £1 spend (have yet to decipher what they translate to), but rewards are mailed out quarterly.
Best of all, when you join you get a voucher for:
- free scone, cream and jam & pot of tea
- free bacon buttie when you buy pot of tea
- free pudding with main course
Free to join = free cream tea :j .
The vouchers for the food were just at the side of the tills in my local, so no reason why you couldn't have more than one...
They are valid until 8th April. There was also a leaflet on plant related offers, but unfortunately the details on that one aren't as clear in my head:rolleyes:
Presume they will have more offers for club members after that.

Hi,
The garden club is basically a free reward card with extra benefits! You get 5 points per pound (equivalent to 5p return in your quatery vouchers- so 5% discount when you get them). If you are over 60 then you get 10 points per pound every Tuesday.
Points are available on all purchases, including the cafe, but will the usual exclusions (gift vouchers, delivery charge).
There are also exclusive member offers, current ones include a 4 bags of multi purpose compost for £12 (usually 3 for £12); half price Clematis montana; 3 for 2 on 24 pack pansy; 3 for 2 on lillies; free lawn spreader with 360m evergreen complete; half price bird box; half price bird seed and 10% off all outdoor furniture.
Points vouchers are mailed out quaterly and unlike the supermarkets come in as low a denomination as 25p. Unused points roll over to the next quater.
The bad news is that the cream tea etc voucher is not meant to be either available to pick up or given to every sign up, they are a 'softener' for the customers who were members of the previous pay to join club that has now expired with little warning, and there are only a very small number out there!

Wyevales are nice for a potter, but pricey. Even at half price for a lot of things.0

All the big chains are the same, expensive and intensively reared plants that seem to die when planted in natural environments. Don't know what the answer is.
(Alps: I have been to the Mill Hill Wyevale and agree that it is very pricey)0 -
I also read about the free club in my local newspaper, advertised by Wyevale, but when you go to the website it is clearly a national club for lots of different garden centres-(Wyevale being just one of many!)

Unless I am much mistaken, all of the garden centres listed are operated by Wyvale. Blooms, for example.
