HI
Ive asked this question a few times to different peeople but havent got an answer.
I have a really good score with Experian, 888 and ive just been offered a credit card with Abbey who i bank with.
However.
bank in 2002 i was defaulted by Barclays through a loan that was never repaid by a family member.
I have found out that Barclaycard use Exeperian and non of the others.
Do the 3 diferent agencies transfer data to each other. Or wil they hold different information housing different debts and info, and therefore have different scores??? SO my score is good at experian but is dismal at equifax??
Its so confusing!!!

Any debt over 6 years old is wiped off your credit record and so the credit agencies should have no record of this default. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
HI Ras.
But as you know i paid 2 times in 2004 to the DCA!
So that makes it only 5 yrs.
If experian do not have this info will the rest!!

They may do - banks use different agencies, some use just 1, 2 or all 3. For example, none of my Egg credit card info is registered with Equifax, but it's on Experian.
There is a chart on this website which shows who uses what CRA but I couldn't find it using the search item - it's on here somewhere though!Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0 -
