Reasonable hotel/B&B in Sheffield?

Can anyone recommend a clean, decent , reasonably priced hotel or great B&B near the centre of Sheffield please? I have friends who are going to the Crucible snooker finals - I realise that prices probably go up around that time but some insider knowledge on a nice place would be useful.
