Kids Days Out in Walsall over Easter - Any ideas
Options
My spouse will be working in Walsall in the run up to Easter, and rather than be apart we (myself, plus our two kids aged 5 & 7) are going to stay in the same hotel with him.
I've never been to the Walsall area before, but I'm looking for some ideas for a few relatively cheap days out suitable for myself and the kids whilst hubby's tied up with work. We'll have a car, so I can travel to the surrounding areas.
Cheers

Okay! Well from the area! Ill just say its a nice place but theres not millions to do!
You could go to the walsall arboretum which is nice on sunny days, its warm and theres a big playground, theres a big pond and lotsof space to play and walk!
The walsall art gallery is free entry. There is a few floors and on the bottom there is a childresn palce with ltos of intereactive things! Also this is in the town centre so if it doesnt take all day the town centre local so its got other stuff around.Hpe this helped, ill think of more later! x

Some ideas for you...
1/ New Art gallery in the town centre.Suits children and Adults.(free admission)
2/Walsll Leather museum ,Littleton Street tel; 01922 721153 Open tues-Sat.Until Apr 25th has a display of handcrafted masks.
3/ If you are willing to travel(15-20 mins by car),the adjacent town of West Bromwich has Sandwell valley Country Park which incorporates a small wotking farm with lots of farm animals ,a kitchen garden and cafe. Also a display of local history.Small charge i believe. It is in salters Lane, west brom.Tel 0121 553 0220........and if you're brave West Bromwich Albion f.c!!(but they never come to see me when i'm bad)
4/Dudley Zoo and Castle. Not far in the car
5/A short train ride to Birmingham...National Sea Life Centre, fabulous Bull Ring shopping and markets,or interactive type science museum called Thinktank with Imax cinema (0121 202 2222)..........
These towns were never meant for tourists but things are improving! Hope this helps0
