The Moneyshop Cash Til Payday - reclaiming charges?

Hi,
A while ago I was using this service, where you write a cheque for £50, they give you about £45 and then bank the cheque in a month's time. I know it was stupid and I've learned my lesson the hard way.
What I want to know it, I had 2 cheques bounce, and they charged me £50 in total for this. Would this be an unfair charge, and would I be able to claim it back? I would especially like to hear if anyone has already tried this and what the outcome was?
I do feel it was unfair to charge me this much because they phoned me and told me what had happened and I went into the shop straight away (5 minutes before they closed on Christmas Eve) and paid the amount I owed + the £50 fee, so it doesn't seem like a true reflection of their costs (1 phone call and whatever their bank charges are which I think would be a couple of pounds).
Opinions?
