I need to get a 1970s (preferably Abba) fancy dress outfit for a hen night next month. I lost my job in December and all my friends are loaded... So there's are going to be amazing!
Any advice where I can get something a bit cheaper, but still looking good?

charity shop. Maybe an appeal on freecycle in your area. Ebay sometimes have little this type thing at a cheap price .0

Go nude apart from black gloves and black shoes.
When asked what you have come as simply adopt the star posture and say...
The Five of Spades!

why dont u make ur own?
went to bjorn again the other night and was looking at the costumes there,
basically if you could get a white long sleeved top and trousers to mimic an abba type jump suit then just make some material large showbiz frills from the elbow to wrist for the top and from knee to floor on the trousers. Frills should be in white, silver or whatever u feel looks good. You could also make a circular skull cap to match.
As long as it lasts a few hours its fine.
Or a silky kimono style short dress,
or if you have a plain coloured leotard or can get one cheap, you need a bit of same colour or contrasting material to make-
a frill type short skirt and also sleeves which were obviously a semi circle of fabric attached at shoulder with midpoint of diameter edge -so the sleeves were huge cones in shape, ie very wide at the wrist edge.
you can get cheap material offcuts or look around charity shops, maybe you have something you can cut up.0
