Hi guys,
I was accepted bankrupcy at 2:30 today at the Supreme Court of Justice in London today.
As I feel this is a fresh start I want to know if I can shred all my creditors corrspondence they sent me? Or would this be a bad idea so early on just incase they need it for reference?
I look forward to your replies.
Many Thanks

I have a cupboard full of papers, just waiting for the bonfire in 11 months time!BSC No: 2450 -

I would keep in just in case as other posters have said in case the OR wants to see it.
The companies will not bend over backwards to help you following your BR with things such as copy statements or letters in the future if you need them.
Welcome to a new life
Within a few months there will be no phonecalls or post coming through the door. Its great.:j0 -
I agree with what the others have said....keep everything for the minute, anything scary etc send to the OR for them to deal with
you can have a burning of files etc when you are discharged....its a nice feeling watching it all go up in smoke! We all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0 -

I was lucky to get ED. But not got round to parting with papers yet.
Just waiting to check credit file straight and I then won't need any contact details.
No one will want my paperwork then apart from my rats as cage bedding :rotfl:BSC No: 186 There is always light at the end of the tunnel. Unless someone's nicked the candle !

we had a letter from the OR telling us with had a duty to keep all paperwork dated since 2 april 06, for 2 years from br date. (This was better than the 7 years we used to have to keep on the business.) Just a year to go til our bonfire!0
