OS Nostalgia - MSE Style

Can you remember the first thread you ever began in the OS forum? Or even your first post?

I've been racking my brains to recall my first but after a search the earliest I could find was this one Pretty certain it wasn't my first post, but it's the first thread I ever dared to begin :o

April - found a wonderful thread on Oat Groats that might interest you!

Prudent - found one on Foods which don't freeze well which reminded me of your sandwich thread.

Aww, it's been great fun going back over the older threads and posts - I'm getting all sniffly with nostaglia :o :rotfl:

I can remember mine Queenie, and no doubt some others will remember too. I had been lurking for a long time and my original post was a cry for help. I got so much support from other mse's and it really helped me to cope, but it was a terrible time for me. Thankfully things have moved on since then.

  • I remember this post with great affection Queenie as it was linked in Martin's email and it brought me into the forums. It was the first sticky in OS when Martin set up the board.

I don't remember the first thread I started but I have just found out that I joined in October 2004 which is a lot earlier than I thought. I have been here a long time :D

Here you go moggins, this seems to be the first thread you started in OS icon12.gif
  • I think it was this one. Meat and 3 veg without the meat.

I have compromised a bit and have frozen veggie burgers or Linda McCartney pies in now and again, but the thread gave me some good ideas.

Sounds like a backward step but I feel pretty confident about it. I love old styling but have to accept that sometimes I'm just tired and want an easy option and that's okay.

Not sure what my first post was on OS, but my first recipe that I posted was the chocolate & beetroot cake. I noticed that one of the Masterchef contestants the other week made one.............. ;)
