Co-op account - stay open?

hi all,

Ive been advised that you can keep your Co-op account open when going bankrupt except when you owe money on it.

Has anyone else found this to be true?

thanks,

if its a basic cashminder account i've only known of 3 occasions where an account has been frozen/closed (that was a grumpy OR in brighton)

make sure you have enough in the account to cover household bills etc any more cash then the receiver "could" take an interest

    Hi

I contacted my OR yesterday about using my cashminder that was opened before I went BR. He said as it was for day to day living there would not be a problem.

As Phil says just make sure there is not a lot of spare cash in there only what you need to cover your outgoings.
