help

hi all,
needs some advice for some friends of mine..
ive only known them for a few years now and its only come alight how much trouble they are in.
they are receiving dsa and income support and have 2/4 disabled children and over the years they have got into so much debt from store cards...bank loans..catalogues...high interest loans that they are really struggling to pay back.
they can just about feed the children but with bank charges they just cant cope....
could anyone advise me on what or if any help they can get.
thanx in advance

To be honest, the best advice would be to refer them to this site, in order for them to take control of there own situation.
Click here for Martins (MSE) advice on who to contact with Debt Issues - YOU HAVE NO REASON TO USE A FEE PAYING DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY- THEY CANNOT DO ANYMORE FOR YOU THAN THOSE LISTED IN MY LINK ABOVE.

    Hi

You need to refer them to one of the debt charities listed here http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/loans/debt-help-plan#help

And I suggest that they join https://www.freecycle.org - like ebay but the goods are free.

They might also get help on benefits and entitlements from charities dealing with the type of disbility they have.

i have told them about this site but since they don't have access to the internet or a computer its hard.
they have come to me for help and its difficult to know where to start.

I would also suggest that you check out their local library as it will probably offer free internet access and word-processing etc. That would get them started. Then they could look for a free computer on freecycle.

If they manage to get access to a computer, ask them to check this out.
