Did they pass on the most recent rate cut? Cant find details? also why do they normally takes ages to make a decision?

Can anyone help? Orry, not sure how to start a new question as I'm new to forums but need advice and can't get anywhere with solicitor or IFA.
I am leaving my abusive partner and I am happy to pay my half of mortgage payments til house sold. But he refuses to pay his half and Northern Rock tell me that the outstanding arrears will still be joint debts. I don't want a reposession as we will both be worse off but he is too thick to see that and just wanst to be obstructrive.
Does anyone know if there is a way round this?? Help!!0 -
