Abbey AIP

Hi,
Just looking for a bit of info if anybody can help.
Have had an AIP from Abbey via London and Country for a remortgage for £120000, house is worth £180000 (hopefully!), there was some Adverse credit on our files but all cleared and a couple of years old, so the broker recommended a 3 year 4.7% fix with the Abbey...
Passed the AIP and affordabilty not a problem...however i'm receiving conflicting information over if we have been credit scored or not..i can see a search from the Abbey on my Experian report, so will that be it for credit searches now? Application is currently with the underwriters although they apparently have a backlog, have not had any requests for information so far.
If anybody has the knowledge of the in's and out's of Abbeys process i would be grateful..

It's looking good. If it had failed the AIP, it would not even have got to the underwritersI am a Mortgage adviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Hard to tell, the underwriters might need your written account of the reasons for the adverse credit and then come to a judgement. The backlog is large.0

Hi,
We just got a mortgage through Abbey, they only did one credit check at the beginning of the application. OH had a little adverse credit...a few late payments on cc but we passed ok. Took a while to get our mortgage offer though due to the back log of application, hopefully will be quicker for you0 -
Thanks for all the answers...i was stressed before the application and i'm even more stressed now that its in..fingers crossed time i think!:eek:0
