Redundancy protection

My MA will be recommending a scheme later and I would like to take a look at a few myself to see what's out there. Can anyone recommend a good one, any tips on what to look for and avoid? Mortgage payment protection or income protection?

Well you might find the premiums you pay for redundancy protection will have gone up quite recently (I wonder why?).
Anyway, I have been with an insurer called Pinnacle :-

I'd have thought an independant provider will be miles cheaper than a mortgage lenders. A premium of around £50 p/month provides cover for up to £1,500 per month for 12 months covering accident, sickness and redundnacy according to their quick quote.
These policies tend to have a caveat that you must be in employment for at least 6 months after you've taken out the policy before you can make a claim, so if redundancy is around the corner you may find the policy will not cover you.Anger ruins joy, it steals the goodness of my mind. Forces me to say terrible things. Overcoming anger brings peace of mind, a mind without regret. If I overcome anger, I will be delightful and loved by everyone.0
