I have the worst headache ever. I've had it the past few days. I've been taking tablets but they're not shifting it. It's the last thing I need!
Good news tho - I won a prize! Only a small one but still. I need a new face cream and was gonna buy one the other day but didn't, and I won a Eucerin face cream that came today worth £12 :j
I've just realised that lately I've been having quite a few NSDs which is good. I had one yesterday and I'll probably have one today too
Not much money news to report. I'm trying to get some money owed to my off my OH but he's just paid for the car tax so can't afford it at the mo. I've also been asking my Mum for some money but that's clutching at straws!
Only a week and a few days until my student loan money comes through! Can't wait! :T
I really want to start horse-riding but it's so expensiveI've always dreamed about going on one of those horse-riding holidays, then OH told me he is petrified of them. I've tried everything to get him to go but he won't. So I figured I'd just go on hacks on my own and stuff. But it's like £30 a time! As much as I love it, it does make me wonder if it is worth it.

Ohhhh I love horseriding! I used to do it loads when I was younger and entered comps and stuff
I went to Malta earlier this year, and there was this thing where you could horse ride along the beaches and on the cliffs and stuff, it looked soo fun but I couldn't do it cos I'm pregnantwas well gutted.
Just to let you know a lot of stables and stuff give you free horse riding lessons in exchange for work ie. mucking out stables, grooming the horses etc etc
And it's fun cos you learn all about horses and the care of them and everything as well as just how to ride!

Both myself and my OH ride and it is a real feel good activity, but its never enough, once a week isn't enough, which at £20 per person per time is a very expensive hobby! You coukld treat yourself to a lesson, but you do run the risk of really loving it!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Hi Chaz
You must have been so gutted! I know I would've been! That's a good idea about the helping out in exchange for riding, the thing is, I don't really have much time. I might look into it in the summer tho, thanks! :T
Hi Dinah
I'm so jealous that your OH goes horse riding! I've tried everything but mine is just too scared. His comeback is 'you wouldn't go riding on a big spider.' Which is true I guess, but they're completely different!I think I'll just leave horse-riding as a distant memory lol, cuz I'll get attached and spend all my money!
Update
Well I haven't actually been to bed - been doing my stupid essays. They are absolute rubbish, I'll be surprised if I pass but I don't care at the moment! I still need to sort out my English portfolio to hand in today, and my folders to show at my tutorial later. I'm so tired tho!
Don't really have any money updates. Ooh except a bit of good news. My step-mum has said that she knows some people who need a babysitter and would I be interested?! I can't believe I didn't think of it as a way to make money! I used to do it when I was younger
But if I get some work that'll be great. My OH goes to the pub on a Friday anyway, so I can just take my laptop and get on with some lesson plans whilst earning some money. Yay! :j
Hope everyone has a good day, I've got placement tomorrow and I'm dreading it. I feel all out of sync cuz I've had no sleep, it's strange!

Well the headache hasn't left since I last posted
But I had quite a good day on placement. I'm doing my first bit of proper teaching on Monday and I'm so scared! Think I'm gonna have a bit of a tidy up then have an early night to try and shift this headache and catch up on my sleep.
I got £21 worth of meals for £6 in the reduced bit at Sainsburys yesterday so that's a few nights meals sorted and in the freezerI also got some Pizza Express mozzerella garlic bread reduced to have yesterday with tea and when I opened it it had a load of mould on it  I'd understand if it was out of date, but that mould had obviously been there a few days.
I'm sure I'd have more to update, but at the mo my head hurts too much to think too hard!

Had quite a good day today. I bought a new bag out of the remainder of my birthday money, and my OH bought me some clothes. So I think I only spent £10 on bits and bobs.
My student loans have been paid in! :T So now I can organise that.
I have paid off my Dad now which is a relief. Also, my rent payment has gone out (£1000 - I pay in installments.) So I think my overdraft is about -£400 now. Hopefully it won't take too long to pay off but it's not a big deal if it isn't paid off quickly.
Tomorrow I'll try and plan my meals for the week but at the moment I'm watching Hell's Kitchen and I need to write a lesson plan!

Hi,
Thought I would pop in and say you are making some great steps. Is great that you are doing this now rather than waiting till after uni.I have just finished uni and even though am working full time now theres so much to spend on paying debts is still hard. Good to get in good habits early.
My debts are quite similar to yours, my overdraft and then owing my dad quite a lot of money.
Anyway good luck with it all, will keep up with how you are getting on0 -
Hi Wendz86,
Thanks for your post
From your signature it looks as if you're doing really well, so keep it up!
I like it that I'm sorting out my money now, but it is tempting when some of my mates get their student loans and go shopping!
Update
So my teaching went pretty well yesterday which I'm pleased with! I'm so tired though. Everytime I'm left in a room on my own I seem to just fall asleep! Very annoying.
I went to ASDA after school to get some new potatoes for tea. I got a few other bits too but was pretty pleased with myself for not buying much....then it came to £10. Seems like a waste even though I needed the stuff I bought. Ah well.
My debt-busting seems to only happen in the few days after payday! So nothing exciting there.
And after all the fuss with sorting out my Mum's Sky/Virgin... she had Sky installed, and is now getting Virgin put back in for £45 a month instead of Sky's £34. I give up.
Anywho I'm off to do tea, watch CSI, then sleep!

Hi Zig,
Hope the teaching and debt busting are going well. It's not easy, but just keep at it! :beer:Goals for 2010 - pay off £3160 debt. Come on Pamela!0 -
Thanks Pam for your note of encouragement!
I'm so busy at the mo it's untrue. Teaching is so tiring but I'm enjoying it. I finish next Friday then I'm done until September! :j Unless I have to redo some assignments but I'm trying not to think of that.
Not much to report on the money front except I'm thinking of paying for everything on my Tesco credit card (and paying it off in full each month) so that I'll collect more points.
I'll update again when I have something more interesting to report!
