So priority is mortgage, CT and utilities.
One option is to do a store cupboard challenge on the old Style Money Saving forum. You list the ingredients of your cupboards, frdige and freezer and the crew try to help you plan a few weeks menus using what is in store with the minimum of purchases. Would help tide you over the salary problem.
